![]() Time for another one of our famous road trips, this time on foot. Following the luncheon and business part of our meeting, we are going to walk around the corner into the Redwood brewing area where Brewmaster Rockne will give us a guided tour and show us how beer is brewed. He brings his 20 years of experience and love for traditional German beers to Redwood Lodge, taking Redwood’s beers to the forefront of beer lover’s palettes. |

Nominating Teachers and Staff
![]() Every month from September through April we honor two students from each of three high schools in the area, Carman-Ainsworth, Swartz Creek and Powers Catholic for their service to their schools and to their community. Students are selected by the teachers and staff members of the schools
In May the three schools are then asked to select one of their Student of the Month candidates to receive the coveted GVR Student of the Year awarded of a $1,000 scholarship toward the college, university or trade school of their choice.

Chair, Genesee County Board of Commissioners
![]() Commissioner Weighill will update us on the progarms and plans for our county and how they will affect us, the taxpayers and voters. Weighill, who resides in Flint Township, brings a long and distinguished record of public service to his new role. His background includes leadership at Mott Community College, prior service as President & CEO of Resource Genesee, and three years as Vice President of the Flint City Council. He has also been active in volunteer leadership across the community and holds both a master’s and bachelor’s degree in political science. He represents Genesee County’s 8th District, which includes Clayton Township, the City of Flushing, Flushing Township, the City of Swartz Creek, and a portion of Flint Township. |

![]() A lot has changed in Rotary since our club last reviewed our bylaws in 2014. At this meeting, Past Governors Dennis and Joe will present the update to the bylaws which have board approval, will open the floor for discussion and ask for a vote of approval from the members present. |
