Each month during the school year the club honors two students from each of three high schools in the area, Carman-Ainsworth, Swartz Creek and Powers Catholic. To accommodate each school's health policies, we will be honoring students either via Zoom or in person this year.
At the end of the year one student from each school will be selected for Student of the Year and will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship.
Our club-sponsored Interact club was chartered in 2010 and every year has more than 100 Powers students join to provide service to our community and beyond.
The amazing success of the club can be attributed to the teacher and mentor, Stacy Reynolds, who has helped her students to learn leadership skills and the importance of giving back. Hear first-hand from the members about what this club is doing and what they are leaning about Service Above Self.
